Bio

Pretty With The Lights Out is horrorpunk with a dash of metal, from the mind of Nate Laff (yep, pronounced like laugh). Monster movies, drive-in slashers, Halloween and terrible puns. After getting its start in Indianapolis, the band is re-igniting the flame in Phoenix, AZ.

Pretty With The Lights Out is not a normal band. Nate writes, records and produces everything in the studio, and a cast of hired guns brings it to the stage as a three-piece.

The debut EP, Pumpkin Spice Formaldehyde, arrived on March 10, 2023 via We Are Horror Records and earned a 9/10 from Grave Noise, plus four Punk Rock Night Awards nominations, including Best Horror Act in both 2024 and 2025. The sold-out CD came back as the Deluxe Cold Brew Edition with two bonus tracks, followed by a 12" vinyl in 2025. The band’s horrorpunk take on Down, Down to Goblin Town from the 1977 Rankin/Bass The Hobbit is its most-watched video.
